The University Branch of Save the Children is once again appealing for books for their annual book sale. 

The sale is held in August at UWA, and is run entirely by volunteers. The proceeds of the sale are directed towards programs assisting underprivileged children both overseas and in Western Australia.  Money raised also funds emergency work such as that being currently undertaken in Haiti. 

Your unwanted books, in good condition, can greatly help in such desperate circumstances.

Books can be dropped off at the sorting depot on the corner of Brockway and Underwood Avenue, or at any of the Save the Children’s shops listed in the phone book.  Pickups from the metropolitan area may be arranged by calling the Save the Children’s office on 9267 3900.
