Residents living in the Ellenbrook and Upper Swan areas will enjoy improved and safer road conditions thanks to a $7.1 million announcement from the Morrison Government.
Federal Member for Pearce, Christian Porter, has today announced that a re-elected Morrison Government will invest $7.1 million to further upgrade local roads in the Pearce community.
Mr Porter said three critical projects will receive funding including $3.5 million to install a roundabout on the corner of Great Northern Highway and Apple Street in Upper Swan, $3.1 million to duplicate the Broadway from Galatea Pass to Bordeaux Lane in Ellenbrook, and a further $500,000 to upgrade the traffic signals at the notorious intersection of The Broadway and The Promenade in Ellenbrook.
“I am so proud to be able to make these announcements for our local community,” Mr Porter said.
“These critical investments will fix some notorious bottlenecks and enhance road safety, meaning residents will spend less time in traffic and more time at home with their families.
“This announcement builds on the record investment we have already been able to deliver for our community including building the billion dollar NorthLink WA project and delivering the funds that will make Ellenbrook Rail a reality.”
The Morrison Government’s strong economic management means these critical projects can continue to be realised – projects which Mr Porter says benefit the whole community.
“NorthLink WA, which is the biggest project in the history of Main Roads WA, provides our community with a direct link to the city – cutting travel time by up to 50%.
“This project enhances the connectivity of our community and gets people home faster and safer.
“The benefits of this type of infrastructure cannot be understated, which is why I am so proud to be able to make these latest commitments.”
