Improving Belhaven Park to help more Australians get more active, more often

Federal Member for Pearce, Christian Porter, has announced a $500,000 investment for the upgrade of Belhaven Park in Quinns Rock through Round 2 of the Liberal Government’s Community Sport Infrastructure Grants program.

“The Liberal Government understands that our success as a sporting nation begins with grassroots sports, which is why we have focused our investment on local grassroots sporting facilities such as Belhaven Park,” Mr Porter said.

“Grassroots sports help drive increased participation and promote social, health and community benefits of physical activity and sport, which is a key priority for the Liberal Government.”

Mr Porter said sport played an important role in the Quinns Rock area and the benefit of the $500,000 investment, which will fund a new sports amenities building, will be felt right across the community.

“Local sporting clubs such as Quinns Rocks Little Athletics, Quinns Districts Junior Football Club, North Coast Ball Club and West Perth Football Development District will benefit from this new sports amenities building,” Mr Porter said.

The investment will also benefit students of Quinns Beach Primary who will be able to use the facilities under a shared use agreement with the City of Wanneroo.
