Federal Member for Pearce, Christian Porter, proudly hosted the 2018 Pearce Young Leaders Forum at Peter Moyes Anglican Community School with special guest speaker and WA sporting legend, Mr Danny Green.
Students from the Pearce electorate came from far and wide to share ideas, ask questions and connect with other young leaders.
“What a great Pearce Young Leaders Forum it was again this year,” Mr Porter said.
“I would like to thank the students for their enthusiastic participation – there were some very thoughtful questions put to Danny and I.
“The next generation are smart and passionate - they are thinking about the big issues.
“I hope that the Forum showed them there are many ways to be a leader, not only in the community but in their day to day life.”
During the Forum Danny Green spoke about his professional boxing career, what it takes to get to the top and what now keeps him busy – his “Stop the Coward’s Punch” campaign.
“It doesn’t matter whatever you want to do, you have to work hard, you have to sacrifice, you have to go without,” Mr Green said.
“You have to give things up in order to gain things - nothing comes to you without a price.”
