Christmas is meant to be a time of celebration, however if times are tough it can be especially difficult. Every Christmas The Salvation Army give hope by providing food hampers and gifts to families in need.
Federal Member for Pearce, Christian Porter, is again supporting The Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal and is a collection point for donations of toys, non-perishable food and personal care items.
As well as Mr Porter’s office being a collection point, the Porter Transporter will take the Christmas Appeal to the streets. For those who cannot get their donations to the Ellenbrook office but would like to donate, Mr Porter and his team will be collecting donations from around the community the week commencing 11 December 2017.
“Christmas is an exceptionally busy time for The Salvation Army and they need donations,” Mr Porter said.
“You can give hope where it is needed by donating toys, non-perishable food and personal care items for those people who need it most.
“Your gift will help The Salvation Army put food on the table and a present under the tree.
“Together we can spread the spirit of the season and help our local families who might be doing it tough this Christmas.
“If you cannot make it into my Ellenbrook office to drop off your donations please head to my website www.christianporter.com.au/christmas-appeal-road-trip, fill out your details and I will come and collect your donation directly from you.”
Donations can be dropped to Christian Porter’s office situated at 3/28 Main Street, Ellenbrook until 14 December 2017.
