Federal Member for Pearce Christian Porter has paid tribute to the Australian and international personnel involved in the search for missing flight MH370.
Touring the Pearce RAAF base with Prime Minister Tony Abbott, Deputy Prime Minister Warren Truss and Defence Minister David Johnston on Monday Mr Porter said the scale of the search effort could not be under estimated.
“With military ships and aircraft from Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Malaysia, Korea and China working together from the Pearce Airbase we have the best of the best trying to find missing flight MH370,” he said.
“I am proud of the work being carried out by our military personnel and pleased with the coordinated effort across borders for what is undeniably one of the most tragic aviation disasters in more than a decade.
“My thoughts go out to anyone who has a family member or friend that was on that flight and. If my office can be of any assistance, please get in contact with me.”
