Outback Splash to make waves in Pearce

Federal Member for Pearce Christian Porter today officially opened Stage 1 of Western Australia’s newest and most exciting waterpark – Outback Splash.

The waterpark is a $70million project that will include 15 waterslides, a lazy river and a range of other waterpark features. It will be developed over the next 10 years across 4 hectares of land at the site of The Maze Family Fun Park in Bullsbrook.

Stage 1 includes six water slides, including a two-lane toddler slide, a family slide and four large slides. It also features a 1000-litre tipping water bucket, and a range of water cannons and interactive water features.

“Outback Splash is a long overdue and much needed tourism attraction for Perth, with more than 15,000 visitors through the gates in less than a month of opening,” Mr Porter said.

“The development of this waterpark is an example of what can be achieved through the hard work, enthusiasm and innovation in our business community.”

The Directors of Outback Splash received planning approval in April 2013, construction commenced in August 2013 and Stage 1 was open to the public in December.

“The people of Pearce, and the wider community of Perth, will undoubtedly benefit from having such a significant and family-friendly tourism attraction in our community,” Mr Porter said.
