Boost for Pearce Home and Community Care services

Older Australians and younger people with a disability in Pearce will get extra support to stay in their own homes thanks to a $927,982 boost from the Australian and Western Australian Government’s this week.

The funding in Pearce is part of $9.4million for new care activities that has been made available in the latest round of the Home and Community Care (HACC) Program.

Federal Member for Pearce Christian Porter said the funding would help expand existing services or create new ones in identified priority areas of need.

“Specifically, those people living in and around Northam, York and Mundaring will benefit from improved services such as nursing, domestic assistance, social support, food services, allied health care and Indigenous assistance,” Mr Porter said.

“It is critical that older Australians and people with a disability are able to live healthy, active and independent lives wherever possible.
