Thinking Green - Carnaby's Cockatoos

  • Ellenbrook Community Library (map)

With the Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre team

Learn about these stunning WA native birds and how you can help protect them.

There are three species of black cockatoo in Western Australia, all of them under threat of extinction!

This session will feature a presentation on Carnaby’s Cockatoo identification, distribution and food sources, and what you can plant in your garden to attract them. It will also cover the threats relating to species decline and information about the Great Cocky Count citizen science program. At the end of the talk participants will have an opportunity for questions and a chance to ‘meet’ a live cockatoo.

This is a FREE event and bookings are essential. This workshop is suitable for adults and children aged 14 and over.
